      Hi,

While fibre(roughage) has a number of health benefits for the body, eating too much can lead to some side effects. These include abdominal pain and discomfort, diarrhoea, poor absorption of food, constipation (inability to pass stool) and intestinal gas/bloating. The most serious side effect is intestinal blockage.
