      This must be your first question… many thanks indeed!

      Well, you may already know that humidity (or moisture in the air) is primarily to blame for rusting. But perhaps you are wondering why it would be different between Mombasa and Kisumu yet both cities are by water mass and have comparable humidity. It is not just moisture in the air but also combination with salt makes rusting worse. Bear in mind also the water used in washing the cars. I am sure you do know that the water mass in Mombasa is salty but fresh in Mombasa.
