The duration of survival without food is greatly influenced by factors such as body weight, genetic variation, other health considerations and, most importantly, the presence or absence of dehydration. Gender does not influence the time of survival without food intake.

How long a human being can survive without food has been studied for over 1000 years. Conservatively it is thought that 3 days is the longest a human body can go without water and 30-40 days without food, but your question was specific about food.

Although no comparisons of gender survival have been specifically investigated, most clinicians believe that women can survive longer than men without food because women tend to have more body fat and less muscle mass, which requires more calories to maintain.
