I dont think lactulose itself will affect a childs sleep. Lactulose is a non-absorbable sugar used in the treatment of constipation.

      Hi da celeb,

The common side effects of lactulose are: bloating, burping, stomach rumbling/pain, nausea, and cramps. It is advisable to see a doctor if other unlikely side effects occur eg diarrhea, vomiting, muscle cramps/weakness, irregular heartbeat, mental/mood changes, seizures. I would suggest seeing a doctor if you suspect that it is causing lack of sleep.

      Hi da celeb,

Sleep loss might be due to a side effect of lactulose such as:
diarrhea, bloating, and stomach pain or discomfort. It has no direct effect on sleep.
