Hi da celeb, very good question. Actually depression is one of the hardest conditions to diagnose and in countries like ours it is mostly detected when it has reached advanced stages.
The best way is to control/manage/prevent depression and anxiety is to have someone to talk to about matters that bother us. that can be a school guidance counselor or youth counselor in church. It is better to talk about them rather than leaving them bottled inside

Hi da celeb,
Psychotherapy plays a big role in the treatment of depression and anxiety. It means the treatment of mental disorders by psychological rather than medical means. It involves talking to a health professional like a counselor/therapist, psychologist and psychiatrist and discussing the health problem. This is in order to identify the triggers/whatever is causing the problem, the symptoms that one has because of the problem and how to manage it.Sharing the problem also with someone trusts who can be supportive is also a form of psychotherapy. Such people can be a close friend, family member, teacher, pastor etc
Medication has a role if psychotherapy is not effective or if a person’s symptoms are so severe that they can’t go about their daily life.
Depression and anxiety can be well managed or treated making people suffering from them to live normal lives.

Hi da celeb,
I like the fact that you have taken full advantage of this platform by posting numerous questions, keeping it alive and hopefully learning in the process.
depression and anxiety are different disorders but may present with similar symptoms, and as such can be managed with similar strategies. Management falls into two broad categories i.e. psychotherapy and medicine. Whatever the option one takes, treatment plan should be designed to help the person manage and reduce the symptoms of both disorders.
I hope this helps.
