Question: is being a cardiologist easy

Thanks for your question on career choice – one of my other pet subjects.

First, I think choice of any career, cardiology included, should be guided by passion as well as aptitude i.e. academic performance. Also hardwork and determination are indispensable in any career pursuit. I hope then you can see the question of whether a career/subject is easy is relative. If you pick a career you don’t like and are poor in, you will be miserable. But if you are passionate about it and are willing to work hard, it can be fun. I love what I do but there are people that think it is difficult.
